When our Mickey managed us before we all knew he had a plan and feck everyone else he was going to see it through.
This time he
He is not the same Mickey Adams as before.
I so wanted this to work out but I fear the worst.

Yeah yeah lets give him time but I am not at all confident on this.

But last time he inherited a pretty poor side, whereas this time he inherited the basis of a very good team that just needed some minor adjustments to the 1st XI, with some serious strengthening in the squad. Wilkins even cleared the decks for him the week he was booted out .... only for Adams to bring two of them back!

Adams didn't come in this time needing the time to turn things around anything like to the extent that he needed last time. We were well on the way to a promotion push before he arrved, which is why it's now so worrying that I'm very much looking over my shoulder at the relegation places.

Now I`m sober I would like to make the point that he seems undecided tacticly and with which players he thinks are his first choice, and as Gritt points out he had the nucleus of a pretty good side when he took over.

I dont think he,ll get 'Zamora lucky' this time round.

you're right... im just trying to find something positive to hold onto, because right now we look to be involved in a fight at the wrong end of the table. with the players we have, we should be the other end. He got them in, why cant he get the performances?

Last time he was a manager who was seen as having the potential to rise to Premiership level, so he had plenty of motivation. He got to the top and failed, and he will not get another chance, so the same level of motivation is no longer there. Zamora aside, he also had a core group of players who had played for him before, around which he could build a team, his success with us was largely built around those players.

The lack of energy from him worries me, but also the lack of invention. The old Adams side always had innovative set pieces, no effort seems to go into that side of the game now.

I don't think it is just Adams, the coaching staff must also take some blame and maybe that is were DK should be looking to make some changes as we can't afford to give Adams the boot.

It took him time to get it right last time & it looks like it is going to this time.

Last time round we had a talismatic striker in BZ and the whole team was geared around his strengths.

This time he has inherited Forster & Murray who although have their qualities, neither posess the burning pace that BZ had.

That said Murray is looking a better player without forster next to him at the mo. And long term i think having someone with the pace of Anyinsah is the answer.

We also have had injuries to the likes of Mcleod who i think will make a huge difference when fully fit.

The jury is still out tho

Adams himself made a comment in The Argus about how he's "grown up a lot" since he was with us the first time. He's also had NO SUCCESS and spectacularly flopped in every job he's done since.

Maybe Adams is all about SPIRIT and FIGHTING ATTITUDE, and he isn't the Capello-tactical-wiz that he wants to be.

Wilkins, tactically, had more nouse, Adams should be having his players DYING for the cause.
