A23 closed due to flooding (Merged)

I was so close to missing my flight from Gatwick this morning because we went rhis way instead of up the A24. Literally made it on the plane with moments to spare. To think I was risking missing seeing the Top Gear team in Glasgow

Took my step-daughter nearly 3 hours to get to Horley this morning!

That must have been horrible, all that time in a car only to end up in Horley.

At 5.30am .. Eastbourne to Reigate in 1 hour 5 mins, A22 a bad enough road!

At 4.00am on A23.. Work colleges from brighton said A23 was down to 1 lane handcross due to flood and rain was still hammering down!
