Not Luton! Thank God
Hmmm, have you read the story? As ever this is more complicated than it appears. If they had pulled some strings with the UK Border Agency I'm sure they could have got her half sister into the country.

why should they pull strings to side step the system. really, they shouldn't have been recruiting foreign single mothers with no support in the first place.

So that's why she won her case. Because she is black.

She wasn't a mother when she joined. The Army has been recruting from Commonwealth countries for years and years. We could stop that but its worked very well for us for a long time.

The Mail readership could provide enough righteous indignation energy over this article to power a city the size of Bristol.

Come on BOFFINS, invent a machine that makes use of this sustainable energy source, you know it makes SENSE.

She wasnt a single mother when recruited, it's the army, its different from a normal job, women used to be discharged when they got pregnant, to be honest i dont think thats a bad idea, people can whine all they like about employment rights, but if we want effective armed forces there has to be exceptions.

There shouldn't be women in the army, apart from making tea of course.

Boffins is such a great word. Even better when used in some patronising way by a local paper for a kid who has managed one GCSE *holds up certificate and points to it with cheesy grin for the picture*

Unbelievable ... we work, pay tax, work more to earn more money to cover some of the tax, pay more tax ... and then see some parasite take a large slice because they can't be bothered to work ... broken Britain at its finest!

So NSC is up in arms about this and yet no1 has commented (couldnt' see a thread on it) on the fact that the 4 MPs up on criminal charges for fiddling their expenses are being allowed to have their legal fees paid for by the public under legal aid.....yes it's the system but how do they think we'll ever forgive them if they use our money to defend themselves against us...
