Just got back - great day out
Prior to the game arranged to meet a mate at Waltham Cross (M25 Junct 26). There is a Marriott hotel there. Arrived to wait for him and noticed the Norwich team bus parked outside(Norwich were playing at West Ham) - failed to notice a second coach parked behind it.
Needed a wee so legged it into the hotel and coming out of the toilet bumped into Michel Kuipers !! - then Bob Booker and Mark McGee. Not being particularly quick witted wondered why they were on the Norwich coach.
Waited around outside with a number of carrot crunchers with Autograph books and then noticed the Albion bus as well.
Was therefore able to give our lads words of encouragement and good luck comments when both teams came out to the buses together.
Virgs looked particularly stunned that some prat (me) would recognise him alongside the premiership wonderboys (Didn't know who most of the Norwich team were-(Similar hairstyles you know).
Anyway - I firmly believe that my action as a dedicated follower in some small way was able to give our boys a bit more confidence going into the game knowing that there were even some fans prepared to wait outside the team hotel for them.
By the way the carrot crunchers fans looked an extremely sad bunch.
Brilliant guys- well done
