It's been a fine sporting weekend so far! (with the exeption of the Albion of course).

Sussex have continued to march relentlessly on towards the title (no doubt spurred on by the Mushy T-Shirts)

England have finally mastered the art of batting against South Africa's bowlers (thank you Graham Thorpe  )

England trounced the French at Rugby!

And the footballers recovered against Macedonia to pick up three vital points!

Coupled with Surrey (cricket) and Wales (football) getting stuffed and I'm a very happy chap!

Good nite all!

Couldn't agree more....except for the rugby bit. Having just come back from London via East Croydon on a train full of middle class families decked out in their England rugby shirts after a 'SUPER' day out at the rugger, my opinion of this elitist, tedious and pointless sport is at an all time low. Two middle aged Palarse fans sitting opposite, moaning about CPFC and talking about the letters they had written to Simon Jordan seemed positively wonderful in comparison to the rugger tossers all around.

You're confusing rugby with English rugby. Try telling someone from south Wales or the south of France or NZ that they're playing an elitist sport and you'll be lucky to escape a trip to A&E.

I hate English rugby with a passion. Partly because I was brought up in household were the Welsh team was worshipped but mainly because it's run by a bunch of arrogant wankers. I can never bring myself to support England, not for any anti-English reasons (i was born here and support the England footie team with no problem) but because the rugby establishment is the class enemy: pure and simple.

I can actually picture the train you were on, Cheeky. I just know the types you're talking about. Make me sick, the lot of them.
