Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..

"Kieran Maguire was horrified to discover his return journey from West Sussex to Liverpool Lime Street would cost £441.20... I am an old man and I have got a senior railcard" says El Pres.

Some people need to get a hobby.

Surely logic dictates that if you buy multiple tickets it should be cheaper??

What a fucking mess.

Compare that to Victoria where our government run trains have just been capped at $12.50 into Melbourne from most destinations.

If he can save £10k per year on train tickets, he can have several hobbies.

I save £7 a day for 3 tickets rather than 1 for a travelcard to London. Southeastern destroying the planet but saving me money ! What a waste of paper, ink, time waiting in queue while it prints x 3 !

Not if you want the saving. Only available in paper format
Eh?
I get my split tickets on my phone off the trainsplit website/app (others are, presumably, available).
Though on the other hand, I have to deal with the hilarious Trans Pennine Express "service", which is basically a con trick whereby if they cancel their train far enough in advance it somehow doesn't count as being cancelled.
