Sounds unlikely. I was up and off to work shortly after 8am this morning and it was certainly light here.

I don't like putting the clock forward myself and I think Canada only did it because they had no choice but follow our neighbours down south. But they do claim it will "save $4.4bn in energy bills by 2020 and avoid the need to build more than three large electric power plants. They said it also would save 279 billion cubic feet of natural gas, and avoid nearly 10.8 million metric tons of carbon emissions."

Every little bit helps I suppose.

And now it is 5:30pm and I am sitting bathed in sunshine, so it can't be all bad. Mind you I had to sleep half the afternoon to make up the lost sleep.
