I was 9 or 10 and I couldn`t sleep for the exitement the night before. 3 of the world cup winners but like I said poor game.

Apparently he liked a bevy. I liked the game better 20-30 years ago as there seemed to be more charecters. I was only 9 in 1970 but God how well did Bobby moore play against brazil in the world cup finals.

He was england captain at 24 i think.

Sir alf came from dagenham like Bobby and made him his voice piece on the pitch.

with Alan Ball he was my first footballing hero.


along with Kit Napier of course.

Kit Napier was my hero too.

I saw Bobby Moore (Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters) in 1969 when I went to Upton Park with my ex-husband who was a Leeds supporter.
