So we’ve decided his knee is fine now, have we?

I mean I get why they want him, big match player who’s seen us home in two tight finals in the last few years, but I’m worried how it impacts him down the line with a five test series in India early next year. Also a bit of a slap in the face to the next generation coming through (Brook, Livingstone, Curran).

I'd rather he had his knee surgery and had a proper recovery from it.
Yeah, this feels like a very short-term decision, completely ignoring the potential long-term consequences. I don't like Stokes (for all sorts of reasons) but I do respect his skills as a player, and even a player I don't like I'd rather not see their career cut short through ill-advised short-term gain, long-term loss decisions.

Can only assume they are looking at the gap between the end of the Indian Test and start of the West Indies Test to sort the knee out
