I vowed to stay away after my critical comments after the France defeat but now we are out for whats it worth I believe.

1. The undisputable fact is I am £ 100 out of pocket after backing England to win Euro 2004 at 13/2.
2. Sven has not got the game plan to win any major tournament for England. His tactics have been all wrong, against Brazil, France and now Portugal. The only 3 really meaningful games of his tenure.
3. Another " glorious defeat " when if we had won we had a great chance of going all the way.
4. We were robbed of a 2-1 win in the 90th minute but I am sure if I watched the game again without 4 pints of Holsten in me , I would realise Portugal battered us for 85 of the 90 minutes and had 25+ shots at goal and deserved to win the game as thy wante it more.
5. We are not as good as we think we are.
6. Beckham and Gerrard were poor over the tournament.
7. We lost 2 out of 4 games.
8. The England flags, hooters and rattles will be consigned to the Attic for another 2 years befoe our next " heroic failure ".

Sorry - the photos I have seen this morning suggest that the referee actually got that particular decision spot on

Terry prevented the goalkeeper from reaching the ball via an arm in the face.

Regardless of whether it was deliberate or not, the goalkeepr was impeded.

Regardless of whether the goalkeeper would have reached the ball, it was a foul.

But this has probably been discussed to death on other threads this morning? (I haven't checked)

It was a FOUL if it had happened at the other end and was given we would all be moaning that James was impeded

Ricardo didn't even make a half decent attempt to jump for the ball. Even if he did there's no way he would have got it. He "hopped" underneath Terry's arm, thus making it look like a foul.
So that's 2 cheating :censored:
