Yup, agree wholeheartedly - even if I wasn't skint, I wouldn't want to pay £22 for an LDV game against Boston. Should be a tenner, and what about doing a kids-for-a-quid night, too? Haven't got any myself, but feel it'd be an opportunity for youngsters to see the Albion which, at Withdean, they might not normally get. Build a loyal fanbase for the future, and all that.

Slightly off topic (ldv fixture) but Grimsby are allowing two children to go free with each full paying adult for today's league game.

It would be great if this could be done for an ldv fixture. It would fill the seats and allow kids to watch their local team instead of 'teams on tv'

I remember Birmingham doing Kids free with a any adult and Adults were £5 for the Worthless Cup. (I got the 5 kids that wanted to go pay me a £ so i got in free, no way i was giving that lot money and I drove them too the game to, it would have cost them a £ and more in bus fairs)

On the subject of the LDV when is the draw for the next round?

Remember the last game of last season?

That's the one we didn't get enough tickets for.

At Grimsby.

They let kids in free for that game - thanks to a special offer from their local newspaper. You needed to cut out a voucher from the paper and they were still printing vouchers on the day of the game.

And there was still a whole section of the ground that was completely empty.

I'm still cross about that.

Liverpool were originally expecting 15000 for theiir UEFA Cup attndance last Wednesday so they dropped their prices and Shabash........40,000 bin-dippers turn up for the game.

Given that the costs of hosting the game are fixed in terms of the rent paid to Ecovert then shirley we should reduce prices

The cost of putting on a match at Withdean is surely the same whoever we are playing. It's a toss-up whether the club would make more money by charging less and getting more people to go or by charging more with less bums on seats. I guess they'll be running at a loss anyway, as many people won't bother to go. I can't really afford another £22 in view of what it costs me to travel to away matches, but at least it will cost less than if we'd been drawn away. As I support the team (regardless of who the opposition are) I'd have to sacrifice something else in order to go, but I'd be willing to do that. I appreciate, however, that there are those who wouldn't be able to.

and if and when (its bound to be how can they not do it again) it is a tenner that will prove without any shaddow of doubt how seaosn tick holders were RIPPED OFF in the first round game paying around £17/£18 for their ticket, thats the average price divided by number of games, the cup voucher being just one of those 24, no where in the pricing of the season tick does it state that the cup game is a free one or of lower value in pricing. Once again Silent has showed that all he is interested in his more money for his ill=fated pipe dream
