We've won a third of our games this season, and to me thats absolutely superb achievement, considering the depth of the squad we have and the financial troubles we're in. At the start of the season we were dead certs to finish rock bottom, and to be honest who could blame them?

The effort and commitment that McGhee and the lads have put in throughout the season has been second to none, some of the performances we've put in this season have been absolutely superb and the players have excelled themselves so many times. Small mention to us, also, only been to a handfull of home games this season but in all the away games ive been to the albion fans have been there in good numbers and got right behind the team throughout the whole ninety minutes singing out hearts out.

Hats off to everyone involved with Brighton, what a season its been so far with some great memories along the way, long may it continue! :drink:

...look on the upside Shropshire, it might be warmer tomorrow!!!

In all seriousness, we are having one of those seasons where we continue to defy expectations, it makes me proud to be Albion...

Looks like everyone has been on happy pills again. :lolol: Very well said though. The Team, Management and Fans have been superb and my only gripe is that the last 5 games of the season will be a waste of time. No relegation worries and no chance of getting automatic promotion. All I can say is Boring Boring Brighton :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Mark McGee has done an incredible job in making our small squad so competitive at this level that we should make sure he knows how grateful we all are. Players get rewarded with a player of the season award every year as a gesture of appreciation from the fans for a remarkable, consistently high level of performance. If we stay up it will be an amazing managerial performance, but they get nothing. Can't we award Mark McGee an inscribed trophy or something from NSC to let him know that what he has done is not taken for granted? If he hasn't signed a new contract by then something like that might just tip the balance in making him stay if someone else comes sniffing at his door. The presentation could be made at the last home game of the season (if we are definately safe by then of course).

yes fatboy, the last 5 games will hopefully be played with nothing at stake, for the first time in years, that is probably when we will start stuffing sides 2-0 or 3-1 when the pressure is off...

i think the best we can do is continue to show our support for him and the team by travelling the length and breadth of this land in large numbers and cheering on the stripes and the scotsman for all the great work they and he have done.

If we carry on like we have we will stay up.

Forest's deficit of 12 points is looking like a big mountain to climb.

Rotherham are down, I reckon Plymouth will be the other team.

Er....... blame who ?

i think 'h&a' is referring to those who put us as 'dead certs to finish bottom' i.e. the bookmakers. you have to make allowances, nmh: he's man met.

After 30 games two years ago we only had 20 points, Sheff Wed had 25, Stoke and Grimsby were both on 25. The next team then was Walsall with 33.

The 18th place was Preston with 35 (we have 37 now) so that shows you how much we have improved and how big the gap is.

i'm sorry it's come to this h&a. i thought we could be friends but i guess north stand chat can put strain on any relationship.

but you're right - you probably did have fun during your a-levels. i, on the other hand, got to spend all day with upper-middle-class boys who would rather play with wet towels in the showers after a bloody good rugga match than anything else. becasue of this, i'm bitter and jealous but that is no reason to take it out on you. i'm sorry.

on a more persoanl note, i cannot bear to think about scaling the everest of essays i have to do. if i ignore it for long enough, it'll go away. see you sat.
