I cannot know but Monakana seems outside of our first team, more likely we can offload him for few quid rather than just release him.

A lot of people speak highly of him so strange we should sign another right sided wide player assuming Ward plays on the right, which I think I read.

I don't think there's any harm in having a couple of right wingers in our development squad. It would be foolish to Ward down, purely because we already have Monakana.

Exactly. Relatively cheap to have them in the Development Squad, and you certainly want multiple players vying for the same position. Makes everyone better and gives you options.

I don't think I've seen a lot of people speaking highly of him. If they did, then I've missed it.

That doesnt mean that ordinary supporters that I am talking about, not super fans like you, havent been impressed. Obviously the club thought that he needed more games than the few the DS play to help his progress.

He's hardly played in the DS, and no need for the snidey comments.

Edit to show you just how many games the DS play in their league.

It has been said by many after DS games where he has impressed.

Monakana has played in a whopping.........TWO home U-21 games this season. I've just checked the threads created around those games - and he was mentioned by a grand total of TWO posters (and even those mentions would barely come under the "speaking highly" description).

I've heard about some aboriginal tribes whose counting system consists of "one, two, many". It would appear that BensGrandad's counting system consists of "one, many".

Ideal time to pick a player like him up. He'll get a full pre-season to get properly fit and used to being a professional. And you never know. He might impress people around the first team squad in friendlies.

He sounds hugely excited about it all on Twitter, and it's good to see. I wish him well. Other clubs have picked up gems from non-league in recent years. Why not us?
