Cracking series isn't - seen 2 of the 3 episodes. Co-produced by HBO and Sky. Really scary when you think how much worse it could have been, and the refusal of the high level communist party members to believe their own specialists and try to push it all under the carpet. And the radiation meters that only went up to 3.5 units - so that's what the level of radiation must be!
The content is so scary. But this is such an impressive production, the highest quality tv show I have ever seen.

Nearly through series 1 of Schitts Creek, not as good as made putt on here but ok. Kept going as always think it might get better.

Might look at that Chernobyl next, going buy the above. Is it on Netflix?

Only on Sky in the UK, but try and see it if you can, each episode is motion picture quality, and the acting is faultless.

I watched the first episode of Chernobyl last week and ended up on a YouTube session about the distaster to get me through until the next episode. One of the best things I saw was a BBC docu-drama thing with Adrian Edmondson playing the same guy that Jared Harris plays in this, unfortunately this slightly ruined it for me as all I could see was him as Eddie from Bottom as they had a similar dress sense.

Cheers for the heads up on Chernobyl, wasn't aware of it but due to a shortage for decent Scandi stuff right now, will give Pts. 1 & 2 a bash later.

RT likes it.

Binged "Wet Hot American Summer Camp: first day of camp" this week. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/wet_hot_american_summer/s01

Very funny if you like Airplane type comedy. This series is a prequel to the movie made in 2001 using many of the same actors. Now playing younger versions of themselves in the first movie, despite in reality being 15 years older, it makes for a very odd and pleasantly disquieting start. Packed with stars.

The Man in the High Castle is fantastic, the atmosphere and cinematography is simply stunning.

Just coming to the end in watching the brilliant The Looming Tower series on Amazon Prime, with BBC2 also showing this just now. All about the build up to 9/11, with CIA insularity deliberately preventing vital cooperation with the FBI, that would’ve made the attacks preventable according to the later commission.

It’s a quality production, with Jeff Daniels great in one of the lead roles.

Just watched the first episode and a half of Brockmire, first show in a long time to genuinely make me laugh out loud. Hank Azaria plays a washed up baseball announcer who has a breakdown live on air.

You'll have to do some reading to find Brockmire on this thread, but I assure you it is here.

I really enjoyed the first series sadly though, for me at least, they turned the second series up to 11 (honestly - they cranked it up) and I left soon after.

Has anyone got any idea where I can find S5 of Person of Interest on UK TV?

Season five is available on Amazon Prime Video (is included with prime memberships, or can be bought by episode or season, dvd/blu ray box sets also available).

Season 4 is about to start on Sony Crime (freeview channel 40, sky channel 157, freesat 143, virgin 193). Episode one airs on Thursday, several episodes each week by the looks of it. Perhaps they will follow it with season 5?

I watched the movie, "Our Kind of Traitor" the other day, and thought it was quite good. I noticed that "The Night Manager" was recommended on IMDB as it's based on works by the same author.

Is it any good?

The Night Manager, assuming it's the BBC's 6 (ish) parter, from a couple of years ago was excellent.

Even the search function couldn't find it! Only thread that came up before I posted was in the baseball thread. I'll probably finish the first series tonight so I'll get on to the second soon.

That'll be it then.

Let me know how you get on with the second series, I might pick it up again if you go with it.

I enjoyed Big Little Lies although I guess it’s not that obscure with Kidman and Witherspoon starring. Some laugh out loud moments, cute kids and some genuine rough bits.

Stunning part of the world too.

Next season with Meryl Streep starring out June 10
