At 85 he is pretty much retired but a few years back he dismissed climate change as poppycock and didn't get much work after.

It’s a strange one isn’t it. Seems to be revered by all at the BBC and he did do great stuff with Comic Relief but unfortunately he just isn’t funny anymore. Maybe he was in the 80s, I vaguely remember laughing at him as a child. Maybe that’s the problem - we have grown up, he hasn’t? Best thing he has done in the last 30 years is advertised clean and cheap purple hotels.
