Not forgetting The Dresser who he starred in with that other stalwart of iconic British sixties cinema, Tom Courtney. He teamed up with Courtney again with Johanna Lumley in the TV feature length drama A Very English Marriage.

Very Versatile and very impressive portfolio of work. Actors like him aren’t made anymore. Also seemed an incredibly interesting guy. RIP

One of the best actors never to win an Oscar, though he will probably get a postumas one for lifetime achievement now for his family to keep.
