Good that NSC are writing the side off as they usually recover quite nicely afterwards.

England's bowling just not varied enough? Would Willey have been better opening than Vince, as well as adding a left arm seamer to he mix? Pressure of being favourites got to them?

On the Border
England have clearly been watching too much of Sussex and now know how to lose wickets early in the innings

2 wickets were both on middle stump full length. I don't remember England bowling many balls at the stumps early, the one LBW review they had was just tickling the top of the bails. Those first 2 wickets were both hitting middle halfway up. Not sure it's personnel but mental attitude and reading conditions.

There are three routes to winning the world cup

1 - We somehow save this game. We can probably afford a loss against NZ and India to get through. Beat India in the semi and the probably the Aussies in the final

2 – We lose this game. We beat India and NZ. We may get to avoid India in the semi, but would probably play them in the final

3 – We lose this game. A very odd set of results mean that we only need to win one more to get to the semi. We beat India and most likely the Aussies in the knockout

If we save, this game, beat NZ, India, then say, Aussies then India in the final ….. we deserve to win the tournament.

Morgan has been mugged off by the Aussies.

Comes down the wicket for a four and the Aussies all clap him. To encourage him to go for it knowing that would be his undoing.

Clueless

As per Sri Lanka, they just don't seem to have any mentality unless it's going well for them. What did they do, set a record for the no. of consecutive 300+ innings in ODIs, get to the world cup, and they mentality collapse.

It's going to take something amazing to save this game now. They bat like village cricketerst (no offence ) whenever playing Australia. Pathetic.Vince should never play for England again.

As with our Sri Lanka innings, is Stokes the only player with a brain who knows what is required for a given match situation?

That's would be a yes. The rest are great at slogging but that doesn't work against top bowlers.
Well we just need to beat India and New Zealand to go through. Then lose.
