And here are some realistic Labour MP's who realise Brexit voters can do tactical!

Current voting intention (according to YouGov) BP + Tories 43%. That would be enough for a very healthy majority

Pretty sure it wouldn't. Not the way first past the post pans out.

It depends on vote concentration and spread. In 1983 the SDP scored 25% of the vote but only took 11 seats.

Whilst the polling at the moment is quite extraordinary I think it would change at an election. But, certainly, I think the landscape would look different.

I'm not sure that a new party with 600 untried, inexperienced and not properly vetted candidates is what we want.

Then again, looks like a large number don't care now.

While I agree that large percentage of votes don't necessarily transfer to seats, I think that, in this case, they will. The reason is that large amount of support for the LDs - that will split the anti-Tory votes.

The other reason is - as you so rightly put it - lots of people don't care any more. When you see that 60% of Tory voters would be happy to see the economy wrecked as long as they got Brexit, it's obvious that normal patterns of behaviour don't mean anything.

Rory is out.

I think there has been some dodgy dealing for this to happen, Rory Stewart had something different from the other candidates and was becoming a threat. Pity as there was LOTS of support for him on the 5Live phone in this morning, these stages until the last two are chosen by MP's and we all know how corrupt Tory MP's can be. If he had made it to the final two it could have been a close thing for Boris, now it's a coronation from here on in.

Can anyone explain what has just happened in the last 48 hours?

Rory Stewart jumped from 19 MPs to 37 over the weekend, then Raab is eliminated and 30 more MPs are up for grabs, then the TV debate where Stewart appeared to do as well - if not better - than the other 4, then Stewart's vote GOES DOWN by 10 and he is eliminated.

Tactical voting to bin off Raab

Gerrymandering by Johnson's supporters. They know they have enough of a lead to 'lend' votes to others.

So are we saying 10-15 Boris MPs voted Stewart to ensure he finished above Raab so that Raab was eliminated, then with "Job Done" they return to voting for Boris?

If that is the case then considering Boris's vote only went up by 17 it is possible Boris got less than a quarter of the new Raab votes.

I suppose we should now watch out for Javid's support to swell with Boris voters so Gove is eliminated in the same manner.

All very dodgy. Where will this leave Raab in a Boris Cabinet if he has fallen victim to Boris machinations?

Talked to a Tory MP last night who was backing Johnson
"Do you think he'd be any good as PM"
"No"
"What on earth will he do about Brexit"?
"No one knows"
"Why do you want him, then?"
"He's the best hope we've got"
"By 'we" you don't mean Britain do you?"
"No the party, of course"

Thought our politics may have been changing for the better for a short while there. Oh well, Rory will have to pick up the pieces after bonking, bonkers Boris has failed miserably. Corbyn has to go now so that we can have a proper opposition.

Well that went well for poor old Rory, a clear indication of action rather than words ,Looks like Boris is taking a leisurely stroll into number 10 ?

By the time this process is over Boris will have made a whole bunch more political enemies including half of those who he'll no doubt be obliged to select in plum positions in his Cabinet, and so the disunity will go on...

Only just seen the latest round of voting and then heard some Tory politician say 'Boris is the only person who can reunite the country'. If that is the case then are well and truly f**ked!
