That is top, top work! I think we could maybe have given it a touch more on the straight between the bottom of the Duke's Mound downhill and Black Rock but I wanted to keep plenty in the tank for the hills and then the finale. Very happy with our performance there fellas. It'll be interesting to see who runs qualifying times for the Ego's in 2018!

Ninja you're a Super Ego not a mere ego. You're being too modest. I was impressed that your lot were on such a higher level that one of you didn't even bother running the full course that the egos and ids followed. Must bring into question whether he used the same tactics on the 145 mile Grand Union Canal run.

Excellent running boys and from the times perfectly placed in running order.

Just been in Jog Shop as you can imagine there is paper everywhere!

The results will be online this afternoon but I did get as many results as I could without being a pain in the arse.

Super Ego's finished 5th out of 75

Leg 1 - 10:23
Leg 2 - 10:19
Leg 3 - 10:03
Leg 4 - 10:01
Leg 5 - 11:02

Total 51:48

The first two legs are official times the other 3 are based on my Garmin & maths skills as we couldn't trace them.

Our B team finished in 59:57
C team finished in 63:46

I didn't get the placings.

Great running chaps.. looks like we got the order just right😁

Not sure what full course you were following.. but I'd like to assure you I ran, crawled, ran and crawled every last bleeding inch of the Weakest link

Oh no. My managerial career was going swimmingly and then one rash statement and I lose the dressing room! I've hit the ceiling.
I promise to run and crawl the course again with a placard stating that no liberties were taken by any member of the Super Ego on this run or any other event entered this year.
We were discussing your water bottle and wondering whether we should put it on EBay...............

I reckon – given who was away/not able to make it – we could be looking at five teams next year. Not sure how they would be named, ego-wise, but it would be a hell of a turnout.

Anyway, onto this weekend – anyone else heading to Hove Park tomorrow morning? If it's still available, I might pace 24, but if it's not, then I'm not making the same mistake of grabbing 23. – I had to dash back from Portslade to do the school run yesterday morning and was spent. I nice easy pootle in the park is just what I need tomorrow I think. Might see some of you there...

Great stuff all round. Super Egos fifth place sure to get upgraded after drug test failures in future years. Although I'm hearing rumours of a contaminated Dark Star water bottle being found on the course- could have been spiked of course.

Team B splits anyone? A quick search on Strava suggests

Leg 1 12:04
Leg 2 11:48
Leg 3 12:01
Leg 4 11:21
Leg 5 12:43

Total 59:57

Hove Park tomorrow - looking forward to running a sub 20 - degrees that is not minutes!

Flunitrazepam? Wondered why big nuts had that dreamy look in his eyes.

Glad to get my leg to within a couple of seconds to yours, although I was repeatedly told the temp had plummeted by the time I set off. Missing Parkrun tomorrow as Jesus has hobbled me. We may get to do 100 and 150 on same day now? I'm on 98.

Sorry, wasn't wearing my Garmin on account of it feeling poorly just lately (jams on 1 mile, buttons freeze and the other week when I tried to reboot it, I had to hide it away where I couldn't hear it until the battery run down as it wouldn't stop squeaking at me!) If the other guys timed theirs then we can calculate it, if not I think I was probably about Sub 9.........

Good work. Got those as official on Jog Shop results now. http://www.jogshoponline.co.uk/results.html Dave seems to have lost some behind the screen info. but otherwise good. Great effort by Super Egos that 3 Phoenix teams in front and Not Donald Trump. Phoenix were really going for it.

I have sent an email as instructed to get team leg times and finishing photos. Will post on here when received.

Having compared official with the garmin estimates, the Super Egos is almost bang on, the Wooden Spoon lot is close enough (but BenElton'sBrother now takes Gold) BUT they must have screwed up The Egos times by 30 secs here and there.

I've also been sent 3 finish line photos. I've downloaded to my PC but can't upload to NSC. I'm sure they'll be available elsewhere but if anyone wants them pm an email address. Maybe someone else could then get them on here. All good photos BUT the B Team Egos should be disqualified for not holding hands over the line!

Well I'm taking my time – only four seconds slower than last year!

Silly question, but how on earth do they work out all the splits? For every runner in every team? As for holding hands over the finish line – I'd already done that on Saturday and I wasn't prepared to act up for the cameras AGAIN!
