Good old Chris Grayling eh?! Really inspiring confidence in his ability once more.

Seaborne Freight contract terminated.

Surprising, with all the due diligence he went through.

It's saved Thanet District Council having to pull the plug on it too. They kicked the can down the road for another month on Thursday rather than get any flak - https://www.kentonline.co.uk/thanet...s-ferry-plan-as-council-delays-budget-198478/

There's even rumours now that the dredger in Ramsgate harbour wasn't actually doing anything, it was just there for show.

At the end of the day you have to pick a side, look around and work out who you are aligned with.

Pasta, last few years I have had some jerry friends over around New Year, and have had to arrange entertainment on similar basis.

National Hunt racing at Chelters on New Years Day with a local hotel (like the Greenway) is just the ticket, but Plumpton and Fontwell are local and should have meets that time of year.

Last year when they were over we took them to the Fulham game after a day in London with dinner at Simpsons in the Strand.

And, tell me, when you looked around at 'Chelters', The Greenway and Simpsons, who did you find yourself aligned with ?

Looks like you slipped into 'business persona' by mistake for a minute. No wonder you avoid posting on any threads that aren't political, it's just too easy to mix up personas. It appears that very occasionally though, the temptation of a little boast is all too much.

It's almost like it's a completely different poster from the principled socialist 'my old man would give me a slap' Scoomber isn't it

So that’s why you were surprised in post #9895. Got it.

Oh I've got a stalker in Shoreham.

I was very, very surprised that morning - I went to bed assuming remain had won, which I never thought was going to happen up until that evening. Do you recall the night of the 23rd of June? The pound soared, bookies odds lengthened right out on a leave victory, Farage conceded........ A friend of mine who spread bets, who did lose a lot, thought he'd lost a fortune - 'Somebody must know something we don't then.' - He texted that evening.

Nobody I knew was voting remain. Nobody in my family in the Midlands knew many people who were voting remain. A friend of mine in the west country knew nobody. Family friends in South Wales, Yorkshire - it was leave all day long.

So let me get the gist of your post - you were surprised leave won but thought leave would win ?
