Sent in an internal newsletter to its members in Peter Bone’s constituency of Wellingborough, the Tory party urged its members to “make dishonest claims and knock honest politicians off the front page”.

“Make nine ridiculous claims, yes it’ll sound like you spoke nonsense but the opposition will have to spend a week disproving them all”.

Seriously, this country is in deep, deep trouble with this government at the helm.

Peter William Bone FCA is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Wellingborough since 2005. He campaigned for Brexit in the EU Referendum and is part of the political advisory board of Leave Means Leave.

I agree, although I think Boris Johnson pioneered his own brand of lying to the masses. The man is a serial liar, from lying to girlfriends and his children to lying to the nation. He is incapable of acting in any way that doesn't serve his self interests.

This is as clear a case as you could find to indicate what some (note some, not all of them by any means -- although many of those have been de-selected or had the whip withdrawn) of them have been up to for a long, long time.
It's just another attempt to shift the UK towards a US-style culture war scenario. Too many will launch into the trap set by the 'rogue' Tories that are increasingly becoming the norm. This will be demonstrated imminently on this site, with this thread being moved to The Bear Pit.

Quite. The Tory party is made up of these so called "rogue" MP's with little thought given to the power their vote wields. These people influence policy. Not as much as big business but enough. The nonsense this man spouts about the EU will be believed by a lot of people.

And yes, it will inevitably go to the pit. It's all quite civil so far though so we may get a few pages of mainstream exposure :smile:
