Interesting that, despite numerous awards being won, none of the recent programmes have made the final 16. Probably due to the awards being about content rather than the cover.

I was surprised as well. Its a shame because there are some brilliant covers in our recent history.

I might have a detailed look at the voting but I'm guessing people voted on their own particular memories of what happened on the pitch, rather than the actual design of the cover. I'm pleased the two from the 1930s got through because IMO they are among the best covers of any programmes, ever.
