Love that.....you know he is not taking the piss in a big bollocks way, he is just enjoying the moment and can't believe we have denied the Gooners the win they wanted so badly.

With Pröpper’s £21m departure to Ajax due to be announced soon after the transfer window slides open, Stephens & Bissouma in a 4-4-1-1 seems to be the way forward with Groß or the newly acquired Mata sitting behind a mystery new striker!

Exciting times with CH at the helm once more.

Not much of a mystery though is it.

It'll be the fella with a mane so luscious and thick it'll look like new, going by the flair-tastic name of:-

So we're going for a younger, but seasoned striker. Like Mick Ferguson or Frank Worthington?

Bissouma and Propper are both excellent, until you look at assists and goals. They'll come good if we can afford to keep them in the side. I think that's more likely than spending a fortune on replacements. Propper would cost a scary amount if Ajax want to buy him as since joining us he's established in the top league in the world plus a decent Dutch international side. People clamouring for 30-40 million midfielders should take note.

How soon is now?

If Ajax genuinely want Propper, they can have him. He’s not cut out for Hughtons team, unless he moves him forward and removes the reliance to either head the ball or defend. Propper has some good touches, but strikes me as a luxury player, and lower position clubs - such as us - can not afford luxury players.........yet

Pretty much this, flatters to deceive.

There's no doubting his ability and I could easily see him getting 20 goals in a season at Ajax playing against the mighty VVV Venlo each week.

I would however be shocked if any PL club would touch him with a bargepole, he doesn't seem cut out for it.

We could do a lot with that 20-30M and I'd much rather we kept faith in Bissouma and Stephens.

I really enjoyed the performance of Bissouma and Stephens yesterday. They worked really well together, like a premier league version of the Kayal/Stephens partnership.

It was one of the more promising aspects of the game, along with March owning the left side. If he and Bernardo can gel some more that would provide us with a decent left hand side to go with the midfield pairing and Dunk and Duffy at the back. That would then leave us with only the right side and forward partnerships to work on.

It's somethin to work on over pre-season. We look our best when we have players working in tandem: Bruno and Knockeart, Stephens and Kayal, Stephens and Propper, Dunk and Duffy, Murray and Gross.

It's great feeling a boost of positivity, isn't it?

Most controlled performance from Bossuma in a Brighton shirt to date yesterday and he is indeed a talent but to play him we need some defensive midfield support so with our current squad that's logically Stevens so where would that leave Propper I would like to see him tried in a more advanced role as he has played for in the Dutch national side challenging Gross, AJ and Locardia for the number 10 position

Don’t be ridiculous! We’re Brighton and Hove Albion, we only sign players that have names that sound like a dodgy law firm or third rate undertakers. The back line of Bruno, Bong, Duffy and Dunk should indicate that. With the addition of Propper and Gross as purveyors of “feeder” porn movies as well.

The possibilities are endless but let’s not do luscious or glamorous or flair-y, it’s so unbecoming and not worthy of our name. :drink:
