Of course they only got 4 between them-they were played as defenders most of the time.

Lol idiocy.

One was crocked all season and one is a complete waste of space.
And Solly's not a goalscorer.

Haven’t read the thread but has TSB been a miserable sod about it yet?

Let's focus on signing someone who scored five goals last season in one of the top 5 leagues. Our four wingers got 4 goals combined last season.

Not being able to sign excellence is not an excuse to sign sub-standard.
We've got plenty of the later already that needs off the books.

He thought he would have a second bite of the cherry.

Belgian league tends to produce better PL players than the dutch league honestly so I'm here for it, if he can have the same impact Izzy had when fit he'd be an excellent signing.

When can we expect this one to hit the ground running, 21/22?

I know this is tongue in cheek but I really think CH was the one holding back on blooding new players.

His mantra of requiring a youth team player to train 40 times before they get a sniff of even being on the bench probably also applied to newbies.

I await with keen interest the stats on new players playing and people coming back from injury under GP v CH.

I assume if true and if it it happens then this guy is the Dan James plan B.

What I want to see next season though is Solly actually played on the f***ing left.....

I don't. He's a much better player on the right where he's substantially less predictable.

I'm sure I've read Solly saying he prefers it on the right so he can cut in and score all those goals he very rarely does. He's been pretty effective on the right with assists though.

But no more productive. He's good for a goal and a handful of assists per season, which is patently not good enough for anything other than a relegation threatened team. If you want to be something other than that, you have to have a better standard. If Trossard is the man, then bring him on.

Personally, I would sell Knockaert to the highest bidder and start next season with Izquierdo to come back in, but three wingers in March, Jahanbakhsh and a left wing specialist. When everyone is fit, 4 wingers and 2 whose preference is the same flank. And don't play them as advanced full backs - all is well with the world.

Never understand the Knockhaert haters, without him last season we would of been relegated. Wonderful assist against Huddersfield and of course the Palace stunner basically kept us up.
