youth covers quite a wide age range so I am covering younger youth and older youth.

Rhythm is a dancer (guessing 92 which was the year I became a teenager) - A brilliant dance track and the first my neighbour got for his fancy CD player.

Dario G sunchyme 1997 - sound track of my summer of carnage that I turned 18. Lots of things happened I won’t be telling my kids about. I grew up in south devon and this summer involved working long hours at a leisure park and lots of clubbing and beach parties.

Two songs (well one album and one song) that take me back to Christine Brown, the one that got away. Naff name, but astonishingly amazing girl.

She was a disco type girl, while I was more the Black Sabbath/Led Zep type of teenager. They were right out in the seduction stakes but Rumours was a great success.

Three and a half years later and Move Closer by Phyllis Nelson used to make me well up after she'd dumped me. 38 years on and hearing any of the songs still make me remember what a selfish and arrogant tw*t I was and what I lost.

Two that always come to mind. I don't know why.

My yoof officially ended in 1983 for various life-changing reasons. The two tracks that take me there with a jolt are these. Ironically all this happned in Vancouver. And here I am again, in Vancouver, plotting the most exciting thing in my career (and having some R and R). Funny old world. Thanks Icy Gull for the thread :

Youth being early teens. The above 2, stuff that I still like now but rarely listen too.

Very early youth

1) The Young Ones ( Cliff Richard )
2) Bobby's Girl ( Susan Maugham )

Later youth

1) Eve of Destruction ( Barry McGuire )
2) Schools Out ( Alice Cooper )
Corfu ( Dirty Dicks Bar ) played these two songs endlessly...Greek Islands....long hair...hippy trail...lovely girls...freedom...fit....suntanned....where did it all go wrong?
