[Albion] is it not kosher to ask for streaming information any more.

Well I think we should "out" these illegal streams and bring them to the attention of the authorities by posting them on here. It's the only way to catch these people!

Given the criminal commercialism of sport, it's all fair game imo.

They’ve become a lot harder to find on Reddit etc, so the ‘need to ask’ has increased. But yes, it’s completely illegal and something that no NSCer has ever participated in, ever.

I think that would be a good way of dealing with the situation so that there can be no legal contravention perceived against NSC. Every game we should have a "Report the Illegal Match Stream" thread and we can all assume that one of the other NSCers is doing their civic duty and reporting the illegal stream to the relevent authorities. At least we can then be clear of conscience that we have done our bit to wipe out this evil blight.

Glad to see these rogue sites being shut down. Far fewer links on Reddit nowadays. A website called hesgoal seems to get away with showing almost every sporting event. Mind boggles how they get away with it.

Purely out of academic interest, is it illegal with respect to criminal law or just civil law. Since I would never do it of course, that may be irrelevant but I wouldn't want to see my close friend stuck in the slammer.

Although the content on a website may have been illegally sourced, I cannot see how it can be a criminal offence to view it unless (1) it is also being shown on television in the UK and (2) you don't hold a television licence.
