He is on loan to us and presumably Huddersfield can recall him in January if they want, unless of course they have been knocked out of this cup.

This from the Albion website in the Stephens article

Albion face matches against Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur with a Carabao Cup tie with Aston Villa sandwiched in between, and Stephens cannot wait to test himself against the division’s top sides.

So looks like the Villa Cup game has been moved, who knew

I sincerely hope we don't turn out a team of reserves just to give them a game, as many on here seem to be suggesting. Bring in 2 or 3 to be sure (those with a potential future at the club, so probably not Jahanbakhsh) but for heaven's sake let's win this match and progress in this competition. Plus it would do us good to start winning again, rather than keeping our present habit of failing to win.

I must admit I put Roberts inmy suggested team at CB and forgot all about Balogun.

Balogun needs game time to show his worth, several players look better under Potter I see no reason why Balogun can't be put in the same bracket.
The younger players will clearly get an opportunity at some stage under Potter but let's not write off fringe players who have a wealth of experience.
