An interesting factoid is the main reason VHS won the video war was the proliferation of porn on that medium as opposed to Betamax. Surely you were #teamVHS?

You’re absolutely right that the adoption of VHS by most American grumble flick production companies was a key factor in the video wars, my material was sourced from Germany at the time where Betamax was the chosen medium amongst stick thespians

Perhaps it was the 1980s video tape war that sparked off the scrap on Platform 1?

To get my first mortgage I had to find a job on the cards so I took the job of installing TV'S and Video machines with Radio Rentals and those Betamax machines weighed a ton when you had to carry them up 20 flights of stairs to install them in people's house's ( and they were a pain in the arse to tune in on the old TV's as well) as were the old TV's as flat screen television wasn't invented then !!

Nope. One guy said the Spectrum was better than the C64. He rightfully got what he deserved. The Amstrad fan kept quiet and the BBC B owner went and told teacher.

Oh how I long for the days of a 4 (four) button remote control, with the impossible to lose feature.

It wasn't to do with a T shirt, it was for making aeroplane signs in a 'bantz' way at Cardiff. I'm with you in that the people who did it are classless pricks, but that it doesn't necessarily warrant a ban. If that is the case then when Leeds are promoted this season there will be thousands banned when they play Liverpool and Manchester United.

Classless pricks indeed. From thinking this is all a bit of a larf wiv their mates, I would imagine now the naming and shaming may well bite them on the arse. Down here in Dullsville (Southampton) their actions haven’t gone down too well. With possible police action and a three year ban by the club on the cards I reckon regret is their current mood of choice at the moment - oh, and the fact that they got caught.

That's so last year, the in crowd are pining for the return of monochrome televisions with only two stations and the national anthem being played each night at close down

and better still that programme about a tablet that they repeated every night after the NA. Seemed to last a little while with its gentle glow

Sad bloke next to me offered me his two seasons tickets when we went 3-0 down.
He spent the whole game throwing f**KS and the C word at CH and anyone else who played a bad ball which is a great example to his small son next to him
I just said to him " through thick and thin mate " and I would have gladly take them off him

Bloke in the front row of WSL is similar - stood up and applauded (in the style of of Mr Tumble) when Locadia got taken off, before screaming 'about ****ing time Hughton you useless ****ing ******' or similar.

It’s bizarre. We all get hacked off but offering giving up two ST’s when in second year of Premier League is nuts.

Reminds me of the Boro fan (I think it was Boro) throwing his season ticket at the Home dugout on the last game of the season
