Interesting - one of the definitions of ‘sport’ in the OED is:-
noun - An activity providing diversion, entertainment, or fun; a pastime.
I played darts with my 7 yo son in our village local last weekend. I went first, to show him how it works, and scored 26. He hit treble 17 with his first dart FFS.
At that point I told him he was probably a bit too young to be playing darts and we should think about getting home.

The French game of Petanque is the only one that you can play whilst holding a glass of wine and smoking a Gitane. Used to enjoy playing it on a summers eve in various pub garden in the Tunbridge Wells area.
