[Albion] Were you surrounded by Mancs?

Down in WSL there was an utter infestation like nothing ive seen before. Way more than Arsenal games which were previously the worst. As long as they behave themselves i dont mind, The 3 around me were fine. Today obviously a gigantic game for them (coz theyre playing the Albion!) but still??

Sounds like it did bother you or your wouldn't have started this post.

When I entered the Upper West, it was obvious the young lads in front of me weren't usual fans as they didn't know how to use their tickets. BHAFC staff helped them out. Was I bothered? No, not really. They weren't shouting their allegiance. I have done the same in home stands at away games.

Couple outed themselves in the family stand after the first City goal, buy then restrained themselves for the others. Seemed to be chatting with the other fans, so no problem.

Also a fella in front of me (not sure if he was a football fan of anyone!) spent almost the whole time streaming live on his phone to - presumably - tens of people. He turned around while Bruno was walking off and asked: 'Who is he? Is he retiring or something?' [emoji2357][emoji2357] Spanish accent, too...

A few dotted around ESL today, plus a pissed-up mouthy Scouser in Row X with a red YNWA Liverpool flag who managed to get himself ejected. And a couple of Mancs who tried to make a break for the City end after the final whistle, but got caught by stewards, and in one case handcuffed by police before being ejected minutes before they lifted the trophy.

That fella won the day, for me.

We were stood right behind him and a few others in the ESL for the presentation.

One guy went early and made it across.

This nimrod waited until the security had been tripled and the players were just coming onto the pitch before leaving what was the second best view of the celebrations.

He got less than halfway, jumped by 10 people, cuffed and stuffed, escorted out at the south east corner.

Still at least he can say:-

'I saw the cooks get awarded a medal.' :lolol:

Gobby shite on train was getting on my tits. Then he shows up in queue next to me for WSL which irritated me further. As he and his mate go to scan ticket it turns out he hasn't got one and in a flash he's under turnstile and away. Happily stewards got him

The two at the back of N1H not only went mental when City scored but then started mouthing off at the Brighton fans around them so it’s no surprise they got kicked out.

Yep a few in family stand, they were no trouble. I must admit I did resent them being there, albeit my angst was more aimed at the Brighton season ticket holders selling tkts to away fans, not the done thing.

W3B block , one of the front rows by B & C aisle , unfortunately a few season ticket holders will probably be banned for getting involved unnecessarily ,

Must be the one I saw. A proper hullabaloo, with surrounding Albion fans baying for blood and City fan failing to leave quietly, silly bugger.

Loads on the train down without tickets. That's the nice thing about our ground - probably the only one where at least you can get in for a drink afterwards.

I spoke to a steward who said they were planning to let ticket-less fans in after the game to see the presentation. Did that happen ?

In the north stand they didn't even let us pop out and back in again before the final whistle, don't know what was going on there, a lot of people were having a go at the stewards.

Way too many plastics happy to sell their tickets

How wonderfully dismissive of you, pleased money is not a worry in your household.

I was offered £300 outside, in a completely unsolicited approached by a young lad and his mate. I turned it down because I'm fortunate enough to be ok financially, but I wouldn't dismiss anyone who did accept in such a manner. I know nothing of someone elses life, financial perils, or how important that £300 may have been to them.

There were quite a few around us in WSL, especially in the corner next to the Man City fans.

Maybe I'm just mellowing with age, but I can never get my head around how difficult it is for football fans to tolerate it. The game meant nothing to us, bar a celebration of the survival and a thank you to Bruno. We were hardly wracked with tension, and yet the moment a City goal went in, and someone allowed a bit of a celebration to show their mask slip, the utter FURY that reigned down on them from some Brighton fans was quite incredible.

"Oh look, a few City fans there" and back to the game, was pretty much the level of my angst. But others behaved like they had just witnessed a cold blooded murder. Until the fellow football fan who happens to be cheering on the other team, was removed from the ground along with anyone they are with, then the anger was building and building. I just don't get it. What have they done? Anything we wouldn't have done in the same situation? I've nothing against City fans, always quite liked them tbh, but even beyond them, what is wrong with some people that they get so incredibly angry that this happens.

Lots of very brave people around by me screaming for the Police to eject them, threatening to attack them and then pretending to be held back when the stewards took them out. Pathetic.

If the only way I can see the Albion winning the league is to go in the other teams end I'm doing it. :D

Looked like loads were being taken out of the South West corner from my vantage point in the North end of the WSU.
