Leicester are a bigger club than Brighton but all I can say is things can change. I have a Palace supporting pal ( yes really) and he says Palace will always be bigger and better than us. He’s not an idiot but he could not see how far Brighton had come over the last 10 years and how we could be finishing above your mob regularly soon. It might not happen Loz but even with a drop to the Championship in there things can change in football....... yes Leicester are bigger than Brighton but they were in the third tier with us not that long ago.

What's with all this Leicester are a bigger club than us stuff?

I'm pretty sure in the last decade or so we've played them in League one, The Championship and the Prem. Hardly yonks of difference between us. They've been shit and pretty tinpot and so have we. Yes they had that freakish Prem title win but let's not forget they nearly went down the season before and could've gone down the season after. I wouldn't be shocked in they drop back down to the Championship in the next few years. They've consistently been a club who go up and down from the Prem. Hopefully that's where we might end up doing better.

Not sure why we are having this argument over whether Leicester are bigger than us. They clearly are at the moment. Recent league champions, played in Europe etc. More importantly though they pay more wages, and that is why in the context of signing one of our players they are "bigger" than us.

We just have to accept that if Dunk wants to go he will go, and if he gets double money and a more realistic chance of playing in Europe (which also helps his England aspirations) then who can blame him?

Maguire was a regular in the England side at Leicester . Dunk will know if he goes there then the Engkand door is probably improved to him .

Add the fact that they will double money and be competing top half and it would be a decent move probably .

As for the bigger club thing , ridiculous argument . Leicester are much much bigger .

Quite relaxed about it though . If he goes then show us some serious money and use it straight back into the first team

I always felt Le Tiss stayed put because he liked being a big fish, because he was lazy and because he was a bit afraid of a big move.

To be fair, his reward was a succession of managers turning a blind eye to his off the field activities, a 'flexible' start time at training and at one point he had a half share in a lap dancing bar in Southampton, I'm not sure any current Premier League player currently 'enjoys' the same business opportunity, the only one who didn't 'play along' was Glenn Hoddle, but thankfully for Le Tiss his reign at Saints wasn't that long.

Dunk off to massive club Leicester City who are 'much much bigger than us'. So much so that we have played them in 3 separate divisions over the last 10 years.

If he doesn't get his dream move then he can fall back on a move to Villa.

I swear it will be as if we're forever in L1 for some of us :laugh:

I think he'll give us one more season as captain. If we make strides he may stay, or possibly go for more money.
He's not top 6 material (although he could walk into Arsenal at the moment) imo, so someone currently like Leicester is his, excuse the word, ceiling and I wouldn't blame him for going if he thinks it will set him up for life and give him a new challenge.

He's contracted for another 4 years, or however long the latest extension he signed is for. As such, it doesn't matter how much the bright lights of Leicester or Villa turn his head, he'll only go if someone offers us a rediculous amount of money.

If he does go it is just a few panels they'd need to replace. The fact each players head is nice and easy to replace it making me suspicious one of them is off this summer!

I don't agree that moving to a higher placed club will increase his England chances.

As a defender, he's better off with playing for one of the lower clubs in the Premier league, that way he will show off his skills and abilities to the maximum.

Playing centre half for Manchester city he will be much less involved than playing for a club who's prime objective is to stop teams with arguably better players from scoring.
