No - I haven't got time, by the time I go to some Millwall, some Brighton and some Motherwell matches through the course of a season. It wouldn't be worthwhile having a season ticket anywhere else

So your a Millwall fan then? If you’ve been in there a BHA games you would know that Brighton fans drink in there.
I don't recall seeing any. The last Millwall v Brighton match I was at was long before Chris was Manager of Brighton. I did see Brighton fans standing outside ''The Grapes'' having a beer

I have been to Millwall away the last 5 times we have played them and every time I have drank in the old kings head along with many other Brighton fans and never seen any trouble

I’m not going to this game but have been to a few of our previous games. I quite like this fixture as Millwall are one of the few teams who generate a genuine sense of threat these days. It’s always surprised me that the two sets of supporters are separated all the way out of the ground...the closest you get being on the footbridge at south Bermondsey...and the you are allowed to mingle on the platform at the station.
It’s like the OB think all Millwall fans only travel in from the East and all away fans are heading to Kings Cross. Total scenes.

Incidentally. That bridge is a lovely spot to get pelted with chips, cans and loose change an Millwall pass across in front of the away support. I watched some middle aged Albion fan smack this Millwall grock right across the kisser at this point. Especially impressive as he had to reach through the police cordon to deliver the medicine and was then applauded by the OB for his novel approach to assault.

I quite like the mingling on the station for the comedy factor alone. You generally get lots of first time visitors giving the Millwall fans abuse through the seperate entrance onto the platform. They then suddenly lose their voices once they realise that they will be sharing the same platform and in many cases trains with said Millwall fans.
I have never seen any trouble either - I wouldn't go into a place if there was ever any trouble. It's a good pub

Considering that I’ve never seen any actual violence at these games(except the Albion old bloke smacking the Millwall meff on the bridge to the delight of plod) I’d say that the whole thing is comedic with pantomime villainy. There are some proper big lumps among their support but all of those doing the slit throat gestures inside the ground are teenagers who are largely absent when the fans actually meet at South Bermondsey overground.
The London Bridge mingle was more tense as the Millwall fans seem to enjoy vaulting the ticket barriers (whilst holding their valid Oyster cards) which causes a lot of delays as staff keep trying to stop them. If I was going at the weekend I’d probably just go for a bevvy after the game and avoid all the dicking about.

From what I saw the last time we played there (0-0 at night) we were let on to an empty platform.
We were held in the car park first and then let out onto the walk along to the station. Viewed from our second 'kettling' stage almost under the station, they must have shut off the flow of Millwall fans onto the platform, then waited for one train to leave in each direction, thus clearing the platform. (I was particularly near the front as I did not have much time to catch the last train to Manchester!). London Bridge was quiet - but that night it was no goals, no football and few fans.
I won't get a wink of sleep all night tonight now
