New manager/care-taker manager bounce will go against us on Tuesday, and because of the League Cup final we're probably going to have to face new manager bounce when we finally play Chelski. Things aren't falling our way!

I'm still more concerned at things like going 2 up away to West Ham and Fulham then losing goals.

Digressing, why do you think your lot can beat any one, and often do? My assessment has always been that you have pacey match winners who pick teams off on the counter. Often mugging teams who hold a (pointless) superior possession stat. Over a small army of very contrasting managers over the last 7 years, you always have that.

Botfair Sportsbook and Paddy Power have us at 17/1 to be relegated. I’m sure they will lay that for at least a fiver.

As for Newcastle being 1 point and 1 goal better off than us and being half the odds, oh yes and they have to come to us.

5 more point max. If they’re lucky. Cardiff the same. 8 if they beat us. We win that we stay up IMHO

I think you're right. If we beat Cardiff, they'd need 9 points from their other 8 games, which include 4 of the top 6.

No. The bookies don’t think the chance of us being relegated is greater. The people do. And the weight of their bets changes the price the bookies offer. Have you done gambling before or is it entirely new to you? Help is available.

Partly true in this case. 17/1 was the outlying best price available so this firm will have attracted extra money on us and then shortened to be more in line with the norm. The average price across all firms (14/1) will not have changed really today as Fulham losing to Chelsea was so likely.
