I've gone and missed the whole of the first half
because no thread appeared on the big board. This is a major surprise to me, considering the importance several NSCers have placed on this tournament recently!
Anyway, Jordan lead 1- 0 at HT although the commentator did mention one great save that Mathew Ryan pulled off.[/QUOTE]

I was just looking at that too. Good news for us if Australia limp out early.

Looks like they've dominated possession but lacked penetration.

Not the first to lack penetration against Jordan I guess ;)

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Jordan, Palestine, Syria and AUSTRALIA!

You'd think Australia would be able to negotiate that group of world soccer powers with ease?!

I wouldn't have thought penetrating Jordan has been particularly difficult in the past.

Good point! I was referring to the probability of touching the sides!

What a result for Jordan. (that's not a snide joke by the way, I was commenting on the football).

Personally i'm supporting Maty in this tournament and hoping he can take them all the way (again, not a snide joke). We'll do alright without him.

Still trying to work out how Tottenham had Son playing for them still on Friday night. One rule for them and us.

They let him go to the Asia games in August and did a deal on his availability
