Here's the latest complete injury round up
*minor Bissouma update*

Bernardo [hamstring] - Not available for Liverpool. Came off during West Ham game. " "I think he would probably be touch and go [for Man Utd]. It is a hamstring strain that he has.
"It's a minor one, which is the good news, so it is going to be about how he responds."

Bissouma [hip]
“He pulled out of training day [on Thursday] - slight hip problem. Nothing that will keep him out for a period of time. Not quite sure [about Man United]
but its a very short term problem...If he misses next week then we are quite sure he will be ready the following week (home to West Brom in the FA Cup)"

Izquierdo [knee] = Not training. JI revealed to twitter user over Xmas that he estimated an end of January return.
Last detailed update on Jose (Dec 29th) from CH - ""It's the same injury [as the world cup], but he is in a decent place at the moment which is good.
"All we've got to make sure to do is the process. We are mindful of not pushing him too quickly.
"What we want to do is make sure we get him right so that when he is back playing he can have a longer period of being fit."

Ali J [hamstring/Asian Cup] - Away. "returned to full training" via https://www.foxsportsasia.com/footba...ainst-vietnam/
was one of the unplayed subs in their win over Vietnam Saturday. Next group game v Iraq on Wednesday.

Connolly [hamstring] - taken off in first half of Monday's u23 game v Arsenal. ""He went off with what he thought might have been a hamstring problem but I think he is in good shape. He was a lot better the next day.
"It's certainly nothing serious. Over this period of time we'll assess what will happen with him, whether we decide to keep him here or whether he will take up one of the numerous enquiries for him."

In addition to all this, regards this weekend...

Last night Mrs Kayal, posted a picture on her Instagram story, of Beram, lying in bed with a thermometer in his mouth, a 'sick person' graphic and the words 'poor boy'.

Might be nothing, but I'd suggest doubtful they'll want him around the squad ahead of Saturday.

Pre- Man United CH quotes. (such as they were)

Bernardo [hamstring] - Not available. See updates above.

Bissouma [hip] ""We'll know probably Friday. If he trains he has a chance of being involved. [v Man United]"

Izquierdo [knee] - Not available . See update above.

Man Utd team

Bissouma [hip] presumably failed a last minute fitness test or didn't , in the end , train Friday as he's not in the 18 for Man Utd.

Alireza all fit and ready to return to the squad it now appears. He scored today to put Iran through to the quarter finals of the Asia Cup.
Still on track to play Maty Ryan/Australia in the final.

OK, so maybe I'm glass half empty - I spent 9 months (up until he actually got into the team and started playing well and making a difference) worrying that we'd signed a dud in Locadia - but I'm still wondering about something else now: is this Alireza chap actually going to be any better than March, Knocky and Izzy (or Gyokeres for that matter)?

Yes, that's the one. Is an Iranian international any better than an established PL player? Fair question, no?

And Iranian international that scored 21 and assisted nearly as many in the Eredivisie, who is 24 and is yet to hit his peak, whom Hughton has been tracking since he was 20... Yeah I’d say he’s worth a shot

Give it a rest with the drivel.

The bloke hasn't been here long. He comes with a very good record. He could easi;y be one of those players who needs time to adjust.

Any news on Bissouma and Bernardo? Feels like the have the potential to become "out for longer than expected" candidates. Would have hoped both were back in training by now. Skip the FA Cup and be ready for Fulham?

Soon after that Matty Ryan and Ali J will be back to boost the squad - could be perfect timing if B&B are just carrying twinges.

agree but he's been shit so far so no issue with the other poster questioning.

Hopefully will come good

Is Pascal injured? Otherwise that change for Kayal Saturday made no sense whatsoever, unless we are protecting 2-1 losses now ???

His other attacking option was Gyokeres (to replace Locadia) so not that much of a surprise he went with Kayal who is often used late in games as an attacking midfielder in a 4-3-3. (or can free up Propper to go forward).
Gross isn't injured.

Gross scores and was getting more into the game just don’t see why he was subbed for Kayal who did nothing.

Perhaps Gross was tired, perhaps Hughton wanted to freshen things up tactically, perhaps he didn't know in advance that Kayal would "do nothing", perhaps he wanted to keep Kayal motivated given he has few starts this season so it was good man management, perhaps he wanted to push Propper further forward. Pick any or all.
But as far as we know he wasn't injured.
