I will start to be optimistic when we sign at least one striker (preferably two) who:

1. I have heard of
2. Has some pedigree in the English game
3. Has been banging in goals for fun at his previous club(s)

My prediction before any new players are signed is that the Albion will finish 17th to 21st in the championship but will not be relegated. Mark these words. No reason for optimism until this owner and board prove they have different goals.

I feel it's to keep as much money as possible but stay in the championship. They are currently using the loyalty of a fan group to forward their personal goals. When the Albion finish in the lower half of the championship again you will understand.

What are the personal goals? Turning a staggering profit? The club doesn't break even.
Performance bonuses -- even if the club doesn't perform (playoffs, promotion...)
And who is the person with these personal goals? Darth Vader? Paul Barber?
