What a poor first half. We've defended pretty well but have been awful going forward. The only bright spot has been Bissouma who looks the only player who wants to be out there. Are the rest all thinking about next week?

If we play like that in the second half we will be extremely lucky to get away without losing. If we'd been playing a better team than Southampton we'd be losing already. Lets hope they end up regretting not taking advantage of our incredibly lacklustre performance.

Izquierdo and March can't be too far away from making an appearance. Nor Kayal, Stephens isn't having one of his better games.

The usual nervous looking over cautious first half .... its a fine tactic against good teams but against teams in & around us we need to show a bit more positivity

The style of game we are playing just begs the question , why bother starting Murray as he has as much chance of influencing things as I do by watching the stream of it. We are almost yet again the architects of our own downfall allowing teams too much time on the ball and indeed giving them the ball through our own poor passing.

OK some positives , Ali J looks like he is actually trying really hard but often finds the through ball either not arriving or arriving far too late but at least he is making the moves. Bissouma looks a class above the rest when he gets the chance to maraud forward & Bernado is just so much not a Bong its a pleasure to watch him.

Hopefully as in previous games we will up our intent on winning and show we are a prem team because the first half was more akin to our away games than a home game.

look pal ...they beat spurs last time out ...ffs ....theyre no mugs .

So much like recent games, little threat. Murray not in the game, Ali J ok but wastefully not testing the keeper, Stephens a walking red card.
Looks like one mistake going to decide it and coin toss who
Would like to see March get an early go

Hopefully Chris is earning his salt right now.

He has to be responsible for our negative first half performances at home surely? I love GM and he may well yet score but he doesn’t have the pace to counter attack and that seems to be what we are set on doing.

Outplayed for 45 minutes, Armstrong and Ward-Prowse running the game, either able to outclass three opponents at once.

Jahanbakhsh anonymous again, Bernardo and Montoya keep ploughing forward leaving Stains wingers free to rip us apart.

But for some great blocks, this match would be out of sight.

The shining light, Bissouma. Hopefully March will replace Jahanbakhsh soon. Come on CH, get this turned around.
Agree. .Bissouma is class, Dunk and Duffy also doing well. Stephens and Propper need to produce more quality.

Bissouma and AliJ the only bright moments in a pretty dull 45.

One shot on target (for them) and a few blocked..

zzzZZZ

We are lucky to be where we are in the table with so little pace in attack

It's not Southampton making us play poorly.

In fact I don't think Southampton have been that great either. Better than us but a good team would have taken advantage of our sluggishness rather than create nothing more than a few half chances.
