So we invade and find all sorts of bank notes lying around, do we? I would hope that this was meant in jest, but knowing your posts, I am not so certain . .

It's ok Hastings, it was a joke, I know all the cash there exists only in electronic form rather than rooms stacked floor to ceiling with wads of notes …...However, ultimately my point is valid, too many companies have twisted their financial structures around in order to get money earned out of the country tax free, that never happened 30 years ago, even a One Eyed Hastings Gull can see that.

This might be the case in some cases, but given your tendency to write sweeping statements and present it as fact, as you did with the assertion about tax revenues, I doubt whether "too many" have done this and also that it NEVER happened 30 years ago.

Tax receipts aren’t dwindling though. They are increasing.

Worryingly we seem incredibly short of cash though don't we ? remember the official government line " We are currently putting more money in to education than ever before ".... classic line because due to inflation every government has to pay more money annually in to education just to stand still, so each year it WILL go up, but not in REAL TERMS !.... so Tax Receipts are increasing, but not in REAL TERMS. ….. So why is there an increase in homelessness, child poverty , in work poverty etc etc when we are booming thanks to our increasing tax revenue ? where is this money ? is it down the back of the sofa with the money paid to buy off the DUP ?

What about the divorce rate? Might that mean that a breadwinner leaves home after furious rows and leaves, usually, the woman with kids and no source of income, who is then reliant on foodbanks etc. There are many reasons for the problems that you mention, and yes, government cut-backs have contributed, before you start, but as ever your last throw-away sentence, yet again, betrays a bias, that makes you seemingly unable to accept anything other than the dogma.

Nice rant. But you said tax receipts are dwindling. They aren’t.

It always pays to read the post you are replying to. Would you like me to explain post #305 or do you want to re-read it at your leisure ?

Poor effort, lets blame the rise of Food Banks on divorce ! Worryingly the official statistics for marriage show that marriages are DECLINING in number so there must logically a declining divorce rate . Yet, Food Bank use is increasing ? if you were a teacher then maybe you should look at the statistics rather than believing the dogma you have been fed. Have a little think, are we better or worse off as a nation over the last 30 years ? many teacher friends still in the profession ? how are they doing, what do they think about their job these days ? Have they lost their specialist intervention support or their TA's ? or, are you going to blame the EU for all our woes ?

Not a fan then!

Interesting to think what would have happened had Gove not sabotaged Johnson last time. Probably May about to become PM after Johnson failed to deliver Brexit

Not a fan of Gove, mainly for his useless role whilst the education secretary. I also think Boris would've screwed up epically just like May has if he had been appointed PM 3 years ago

Just so sad to read this predictable and pathetic diatribe – why not try and post something positive? I spent 40 years teaching kids and most of that time on the pastoral side trying to get kids and their parents to raise their expectations and improve behaviour so as to give them a life chance. And then you insult me and others with this nonsense – what makes you think, other than sheer arrogance, that you care more than others? And given that you have posted on the Brexit that thick people should not be given a vote, it just simply adds to your hypocritical stupidity.
You have mentioned all these things that need addressing. Yes, they do. They all need more money being poured into the treasury. And that will presumably have to come from taxation. How much are you prepared to pay, because nowhere in any of your questionable posts do I see any mention of a financial sacrifice you are prepared to make, other than simply to hit out at others with whom you disagree. Unlike you I have experience of another country's health system, and believe you me, it will cost you an awful lot more.

Money for the DUP, no money to stop the closure of children's hospices.
And how do you know where I have lived in the past, how can you assume that I have never lived anywhere else with different health service.
You are a 24 carat, grade A idiot.
