Prominent Brexiter talking to journalist off the record,

"We never expected to win, we didn't want to win. What we wanted was to frighten Brussels into giving us a better deal. Now we're all screwed and there's no way out"

I am fascinated to see who the next Tory leader is. Boris, Rees mogg Gove. They will be mincemeat for Jeremy, can you imagine?
Come on, bring on the election!

I’m not so sure about that and neither was Alaistair Campbell tonight. Corbyn’s poll figures (given a Tory party tearing itself apart) are awful.

Instead it could well be a hung parliament, with the SNP wiping out the Labour Party north of the border yet again, and possibly the LibDems gaining in England and Wales.

Next Tory leader not Boris he's yesterday's man, not Mogg he's last centuries man, not Grayling he's leaf on the line man which realistically leaves Jeramy Hunt, Michael Gove or Andria Leadson as the big Names or somone as oftern is the case in these situations sneaks in as the least disliked

Sussex but not by the sea
Watching Peston now - Liz Truss is completely filled with hot air, how do these people become MPs FFS? FML these empty vessels are so full of shit and self importance it’s genuinely frightening, forget which party you align to these people are clowns, most of them would be destroyed in similar positions in the private sector.

observation that the votes went along party political lines (the Clarke proposal being the same as one from Labour). so seems with a divided country on brexit we actually have a representitive divided house of commons. anyway, some thing will need to change about partisan politics to move this forward one way or other.

Great, let's have an election just to find out our nation is just as in disagreement about what government we want in power, we end up with a hung parliament again and end up going round in circles because still, no one can agree.

You'll end up with different MPs though, which may be the only way.

Either that or out it back to the people.

The EU may randomly step back in.
