The John Peel Festival 50 was based on tracks or studio sessions played during that year on his show not released necessarily released in that year. So in this top 20 of John Peel's Festive 50, only 3 singles were released in 1979 of which 2 are in the OP list.
Maybe we should have a thread on a top 50 from all of John Peels Festive 50s over the years
The drum fills at the end of the extended Heart of Glass are terrific. The song fades out too soon.
That's him, he's also an actor.
I worked in his house, he gave me a CD album by his band.
