Not a huge fan beyond the hits but you have to admire their perseverance.
Smith has managed to tweek the same songs over and over again to incredible commercial success.
That's meant as a compliment. There are a few bands who are effectively their own genre.

I’m amazed at their quality after all these years, Smith sounds just like he did 30 years ago.

Maybe it’s a little like James and Sit Down or Ultravox and Vienna - it’s there as one of your best songs but you don’t want it to be the only thing you’re remembered for!
