Best way is to count the legs and divide by two, but sometimes, because some people have sat down, you can only see their heads which makes it impossible to get an accurate figure.

I purchased my ticket Tuesday morning and had to sit in the back row of E1C. When I arrived at 19:42 row upon row of E1C was empty and yet the tickets weren't available. Why?
