Sorry to disappoint the OP but I think you'll find a 'backdoor man' is someone who favours the tradesman's entrance.

In the ghetto, where the blues songs originated, folk didn't have back doors. They were lucky to have a front doors.

Not true. It's an old blues trope meaning exactly what the OP says it means. Blind Willie McTell's 'Talkin' To Your Mama' makes it clear by saying 'Every frontdoor woman got a backdoor man,' and 'When I walk out my front door, I hear my backdoor slam':

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9uk0W1Lpy0

Dr Feelgood's solution was to 'Fill your back door up with bricks' which would seem fairly extreme if it has the meaning you suggest

Where there wasn't a back door, there's just one way out. A problem experienced by Sonny Boy Williamson:

You've fallen into that age old NSC trap of spoiling a perfectly good story with real facts. Real facts have no place on NSC. Fact.

:rolleyes::cheers:

Blues artist Howlin Wolf the singer of "Back Door Man" sings another song called "Evil" in which he makes a veiled reference to a Back Door Man which makes it clear that the shennanigans are being carried on in a house with both a front and back door.

The specific verse is,
"If you make it to your house
Knock on the front door
Run around to the back, you'll catch him
Just before he go"

Maybe, if you count your lodger spinning like a revolving door on you while her boyfriend sleeps 8ft away from you in another bedroom.

For those of you not familiar with the expression it's not a euphemism for anal intercourse but actually means a man who is having an affair with another man's wife or girlfriend, usually conducted in the couple's home when the man is out the house, such as at work etc..... as in sneaking in through the backdoor as he leaves through the front.

If you are or have ever been a "backdoor man" do you have any stories of close escapes, hiding naked in cupboards or actually getting caught inflagrante when the husband or boyfriend arrives home unexpectedly.

Alternatively you might have previously been cuckolded by a "backdoor man" and would like to share your experiences.

Meanwhile here are a couple of versions of the song in which such behaviour was immortalised.

Do you mean have you ever been an adulterer, who has wrecked another man’s marriage/relationship and potentially left irreparable damage on his family and children? No, no I haven’t.

What an utterly reprehensible thread. You should be ashamed of yourself for even trying to glorify this.

How have you come to the conclusion I have tried to "glorify" such behaviour. It's a thread based on a very common type of human behaviour and the acknowledgment of the existence of such behaviour certainly does not constitute either approving of it or glorifying it.

I think you're over reacting somewhat in your condemnation and interpretation of the topic of the thread. I could have just as easily started a thread asking "Have you ever done anything which could be construed as racist?" This would not mean that I was glorifying racism. I could have also asked "Have you ever hit a woman?" which likewise would not mean I was glorifying violence against women. I would merely be acknowledging that racism and violence against women exists and wondering if any posters had indulged in such conduct and if they had would they be prepared to admit to and discuss it.

To reiterate, acknowledging the existence of something and being prepared to discuss it is not glorifying it. I'm sure there are many "back door men" on this forum but equally they are themselves ashamed of their own actions which is why they prefer to stay silent on the matter.

However I should also state that some back door men should have nothing to feel ashamed about. Firstly, contrary to what you suggest there may not have been any children in the relationship. Secondly you are making the assumption that the relationship is an otherwise healthy one. The cuckolded partner might be physically or emotionally abusive to his partner and she might be too scared to leave him. The back door man might be offering more than just sex but an emotianal escape from the abuse she suffers in her daily life.

Not everything is black and white. The cuckold isn't always an innocent victim. As I said he could be an abuser or he could himself be indulging in extramarital infidelities which he deems acceptable behavior for himself to indulge in but which is not something he is prepared to tolerate in his wife even if he is flaunting his affair in her face. Furthermore adulterous relationships aren't always just based on sex but also sometimes emotional fulfilment.

Which bloke was Katie married to at the time?

She was...previously...going out with a lad who I played football with for a Brighton pub team.

She’d just got her first pictures on page three. It was before she was a mental case.

That's quite a superb retort as this time of night ladies and gentlemen.

A round of applause...
