Maybe not, but all anyone can do is what they think best at the time. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I think he would have fared better in a Potter system than a Hughton one though.

He's a very decent player, but would not have displaced Propper or Stephens.

Really glad to see he's finally getting his chance in the Prem after 3 promotions.

I'd guess that Chris thought he wouldn't displace Kayal either.

I'm delighted he's finally got his chance, I'm not sure anyone has ever been more deserving.

I am so pleased for him, to be part of two promotions to the PL and dumped after promotion both times must have been tough. Good luck to the train surfing player!
