Albion v Doncaster fans, Saturday 7th April

I have been contacted by Rigo, captain of the Donny boys who want REVENGE on NSC Albion following our 4-2 victory against them in November.

We are playing Donny on Easter Saturday, and if we take up the challenge need to organise

1. A team
2. A pitch with changing room
3. A referee
4. Some post match refreshments.

This will cost money, so we will need to stick hands in pockets if you want to play.

I appreciate that it is a long time away, but unless we get our fingers out then it will fall down due to lack of organisation.

Living in Manchester I don't know much about how to sort out pitches etc in Brighton, so is there someone or a couple of you that want to assist I will be very grateful.

Yorkshire TV are giving the Donny boys a camera for the day to record their progress, so lets put on a good show for them.

Our manager by the way is HINEY, so if I were you, threads incorporating phrases such as

"Hiney is a fantastic lover"

"Hiney is the funniest NSC poster ever.....fact"

"Tickets for big matches should be given in the following order Hiney, Beach Hut and his friends, STH's, AMS members" etc will no doubt be taken into consideration when choosing the team.

By the way can I just say that Hiney is a fantastic lover, according to Girls Aloud.

I would have thought Waterhall was the best bet, wasn't it?

An 11.30 KO time shouldn't interfere with the afternoon matches there. You'd need to ask the Council, I think. It's only a short hop then from Waterhall to Withdean.

Failing that, either the Varndean/Stringer pitches might be available, or Patcham High School - again not too far from Withdean.

I'll come and watch as I seriously guess you will be over subscribed.

Edit: I could help with refreshments as I won't play, but even though I am expecting to drive by then I still can't reply on it Nearer to the time I say

Priority should be given to those who played in the first game.

Not necessarily all of the slots available, but maybe two thirds of the places available can only be filled by the victors from before

This is nothing to do with the NSC Albion team so I think we would be trading on others' toes Dave.

I think the match is open to all fans, I did not know that we had an 'official' NSC team.

At the away game Donny had about 20 players and we had 11, so they had a major change over at half time.

Might be an idea to contact the club to see if we can organise a signed ball, pennant, shirt or something similar........or even get someone like Charlie to referee. I remember Graham Moseley refereeing a 6-6 draw against Cardiff in 1984 when I organised a similar match.

Priority to away fans? I can hear the letters of indignation being written with threats to not renew season tickets being written already!

Contact the club and see if we can use the Falmer training ground (for a small fee). Always worth a try.

contact the uni direct, or the falmer sports centre as they own the land/pitch
