...is the name the Sun have given to Ding Junhui, in the final of the snooker today against Ronnie.

Is this racist? Personally I think it's hardly offensive and actually quite funny. But then again, they have given Jade a hard time over the poppadum comment.

There were also a couple of papers who, earlier in the week when he got his maximum break, used the 'Pot Noodle gets won ton and 47' line.

It's all about intent. That strikes me as an affectionate type of nickname rather than something aimed to put the person down.

It's not as if the nickname is being applied to every person of that nationality.

I can understand the 'pot' bit but where does the 'noodle' bit come in?

Is it just because hes chinese and they eat noodles?
