I listened to that Buthole Surfers track the other night. Its superb. Roll on November 7th, I might have to pre-order this little slut. And I've NEVER bothered pre-ordering a game in my LIFE.

What's the problem with Woolies, just out of interest?

I ordered Guitar Hero in the store one bright and breezy Saturday afternoon, and was promised it would be in by Tuesday at the very latest. I left with a spring in my step and a song in my heart.

The fucker didn't arrive till well over a WEEK later.

You could have got it somewhere else quicker than that. You do know that, don't you?

Yes. But the only way I could get around the missus by buying a SECOND Guitar Hero, was to use some old Woolies gift vouchers I found loafing around in the back of my wallet.

Why did you need a second one?
Because the first one, the disc got scratched and wouldn't load. But I also cunningly used this as an excuse to buy it again, because I wanted a 2nd guitar to enable the (bloody brilliant) 2-player option. This will pay DIVIDENDS when GH2 comes out, because they've done loads to improve the 2 player game as well (including a head-to-head "Survival" mode where you have to hit every note to outlast your opponent). Two guitars is a must now.

As it happens, the original disc is ok now as well. I got it polished up at Tomorrows World.

Doesn't sound like you needed a second disk, in hindsight.

In hindsight, no I didn't.
But I definately wanted a second guitar, and the Woolies vouchers seemed the best way of doing it - otherwise she'd only have wasted them on a breadbin and a set of plates or something.

Probably not worth a new thread, but there's a playable demo (4 tracks, I think) of Guitar Hero II with this month's PS2 magazine... in the US of A.

You can download the ISO here - but it won't be much use without SwapDisc or other pirate-like accessories.
