He's next to me, in D block.
"But you accept that there is an increased risk of vehicle/bat collision"
Easy 10, sometimes you're rip-roaringly hilarious. Unfortunately, I work in the club shop and had to deal with call after call from mid-afternoon onwards with people wanting to know if Samuel L. (Simon) Jackson was really coming to the game.
It's just a shame none of us in the club shop were smart enough to take commercial advantage of this spoof.
Oh god, please tell me you're JOKING
If not and I've caused you any hassle, I apologise profusely.

a) really funny, or
b) really depressing
"I have been in professional football since I was 16 - that's 33 years this summer. I have seen and done it all. In Brighton, I thought that I had found a club that sat outside the norm. People who love their club but are realistic about their club's prospects in dire circumstances. That appealed to me. That is what I call true loyalty. Supporting the club as you have done through the hard times. I am prepared to be here through these hard times and to develop a squad as I have started to do in preparation for the day that we all move to a new stadium at Falmer. I need your support, patience and understanding in the long-term because there is no quick fix. I hope you will continue to give me that opportunity." Mark McGhee, 17th April 2006
The first paragraph was totally believable, and I did, the rest was probably the best fictional prose I have read in ages.
The supporter formerly known as McGully and latterly as Van der Gully.
Believe!
Could do a job
"Forget the goals, Vicente produced the moment of the match, if not the season here at the Amex, with a slalom like run,
in which he beat six or seven players before unleashing a fierce drive that rattled the crossbar"

I was getting my hopes up there

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and fuuuurious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.![]()
