The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund have today approved a package of support to a football club in the Croydon area. Wickham Wanderers based in Shirley, Croydon have been given funds to provide 4 full sets of football kit for children from the ages of 7-14 to play football in the name of Robert Eaton.
This is in recognition of the huge support given by our friends in Croydon and the Crystal Palace Supporters who have given time and money over the last 5 years to help the fund continue. Without them the fund would have not done as well as it has.
The family and directors of the Robert Eaton Memorial Fund felt this club represented what the REMF is looking to nurture and support.
This is particularly poignant as we approach the 5th anniversary.
We will be looking to make a formal presentation in September to the club and will get publicity in the local Croydon press and invite the Argus. The kits will have The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund written across the front.
We will also make a presentation and get publicity in September for Fishersgate Flyers who we recently supported.
We have the 5th annual REMF Golf Day on 15/9/06 when BHAFC and CPFC supporters play for the REMF Golf trophy.
