Donnatello or Fat Leo.

Very good food, as you may well know and lots of choices (if you like Italian that is).

I am sure you know this.

Yo! Sushi by the Library if you like that sort of thing....

and massively overpriced, which is probably why Dwayne recommends it.

overpriced!?!

It's about £15 a head with drinks?

It's not that great but the foods pretty good, it's a competent all-rounder

It's overpriced for what it serves Dwayne, you can get better in town that is for sure. It survives on name alone these days. Plus £15 a head for a "light lunch" is expensive.

It depends what you're looking for I suppose. Italian, then Donnatellos is cheap and cheerful. Paninis or other sandwich type things then somewhere like the End Of The Lanes cafe is perfect.

That new Carluccios place near the library looks worth checking out. I'd also take the old dear to Wagamamas, love that place.

Still? My local, and former best pub in Brighton, is now - tragically - a shadow of its former self since Chris and Geoff sold out to Shepherd Neame. :(
